About the role:
As the Senior Android Developer for TQL, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our enterprise-wide Mobile Development Strategy. You will work alongside Agile Scrum teams to develop new applications, and maintain, modify and improve existing solutions. You will have full access to end-users, IT peers, and management in order to deliver state-of-the-art applications. In this role you will be a key technical contributor to the TQL Development Team, which is working towards building the future of logistics and transportation technology.

What you'll be doing:
- Work with the Product Management teams to understand the needs of end users’ and external customers to influence and plan system design and creation of engineering and development tasks
- Support and manage android applications developed in-house and outsourced
- Develop and maintain backend services to support TQL mobile applications
- Test and maintain various native android applications to identify processes and development efficiencies and recommend improvements
- Document new applications or changes made to existing applications
- Frequently communicate with internal customers, end users and managers on project progress, deployment and issue resolution
- Support systems to provide continuous integration and automated testing processes
- Actively engage in conversations and meetings with prospects and customers as needed
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Thorough understanding of RESTful architecture and deployment of distributed services
- Deep expertise with mobile development applications using Android Native development toolkits (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio)
- Strong attention to detail on the fit and finish of applications and overall quality
- Proven experience building functional and user-friendly UI designs
- Desire to be on the cutting edge, to learn, and to introduce emerging technologies
- Able to communicate with all levels of management and with team to achieve desired outcomes and build strong relationships
- Proactive and creative in managing issues and opportunities
- Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and taking the initiative to see projects through successful completion
- Able to work on multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing tasks
